The main aim of the role is to manage the bar service to a consistently high standard, ensuring that the bar staff provide an excellent service which exceeds customer expectations.

Reporting to: Food & Beverage Operations Manager

Responsible for: Bar Staff

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the Bar service to consistently high standards to exceed customer expectations

  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager by working to exceed sales and revenue targets

  • Ensure your team maximise all sales opportunities

  • Deal with any escalated customer queries to a successful resolution

  • Responsible for the accurate management of all transactions during service

  • Manage stock levels, complete monthly stock takes.

  • Complete weekly orders for all bars throughout the hotel.

  • Ensure all cellars/beverage storage areas are kept clean and tidy and well organized at all times.

  • To have a clear understanding of market trends and offer up costed ideas for menu development of drinks menus throughout the hotel.

  • Work closely with drinks suppliers to ensure we are receiving the best available service, products and prices.

  • Act as a role model for your staff proactively looking for things to do in quiet periods – direct them to do the same through leading by example

  • Manage, train, develop and coach team members.

  • Any other duties as directed
